Geaux Tigers!!!!

This past weekend Drew, Alex and I took a little road trip to Baton Rouge, LA. Mom and Dad went to their first LSU Tigers game and Alex had his first taste of powdered sugar. We had a great time and here are some pics. Bug was a little champ on the way down and home again. Thursday night we had to stop twice but on Sunday we had no issues and it was smooth sailing the whole trip. He is quite the traveler!
Moments after the first taste of the powdered sugar....
Seconds after the sugar hit his bloodstream.... A very, very happy baby!

Tiger stadium holds 92,000 people and the game was sold out. I thought Arrowhead stadium was impressive? Hah! They aint seen nothin' wait until you have that many Cajuns screaming "Go Tigers". Yeah, it's loud. Real. Loud.
Right as the game was starting. If you looked out across the stadium all you saw was purple and gold. Amazing! It almost made me feel sorry for the opposing team.
We had a blast and no worries, before anyone asks Bug did not go to the game, he stayed at the house with his buddy Lynn. They partied their wheels off until someone couldn't take it anymore and conked out at 6:30. He's a wild one I tell ya, a wild one!

Our Little Bed Bug

Every morning after Alex gets up Drew or I bring him into bed with us and we play. It is the best way to start your day out and it's the best time for Alex because he is always in such a fantastic mood after a nights worth of sleep. The last one is my favorite! When you put the covers over his head he laughs and starts flailing those arms and legs. Too cute!

My Buddy and Me

This weekend my Dad and Stepmom, Nancy came to visit the little man. All three of them had an absolute blast! We went out to lunch, grilled out for dinner and Alex was paraded around the neighborhood by two very proud grandparents. Alex is absolutely mesmerized by his Grandpa. It was so funny! He just stared at him the whole time. I'm usually the one that he stares at so it was rather interesting to see what it looks like from the other side.

Here are some pics.

Here he is with Grandpa. To give you some idea of how enamored he is with his Grandpa, Nancy was holding him and my Dad asked "Alex, how are you." and the little guy threw himself at Grandpa. Poor Nancy she barely kept hold of him.

Alex tried to scare them with his super neat way of telling you he's done with his bottle, by coughing and gagging. It's rather funny and full of all sorts of drama.

Cute Pics Just Because....

Some Assembly Required

After the Steinkuhlers left Sunday afternoon Alex and I assembled his highchair. Well, I put it together Alex watched. I had to wait until Drew came home to get some of it completed however because I didn't have the brut strength to get some of those screws tightened enough. You would think with carrying around a 19lb baby that wouldn't be an issue.... yeah, no not really.

After we got it together we needed his Royal Fatness to test it out for us. He seemed to enjoy it, that is until he bent over and knocked his head on the tray....

That's his "Ladykiller" look.

Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend, our friends the Steinkuehlers came to visit and we all had a great time. We went to the zoo, out to dinner and both Annie and Bug had a blast with Mitchell and Riley.

Towards the end of the afternoon. Alex was active and alert for close to the whole zoo experience however, he was not at all amused by the animals. Not at all! BUT, he will have a blast next year.

Towards the beginning of the trip. Look how cute those boys are!!!

Checking out the pandas....

Coming back from the polar bear exhibit. Mitchell was upset, not sure about what but I love that look on his face.

Alex absolutely adores those boys. Such entertainment!

Please note that Riley has his underoos on backwards..... how freaking adorable is that? I laugh every time I look at these pics. I cannot wait till he is old enough to be embarrassed by these.

Weekend with Nana

Two weeks ago my Mom came down for the weekend. I don't think that she put Alex down for any longer than 10 minutes... tops! They had a great time together, especially Alex he eats up any and all attention. You'd think that we ignore him when no one is visiting. Anyway, here are some pics...
