Showers Galore

This past weekend we were back in St Louis for my fourth and final shower. My SIL's Glenda and Amy were gracious enough to throw this little soiree for me and everyone had a good time. It was great getting to see everyone again and as usual those things are over way too fast so once again thanks for everything, it was a beautiful shower. Bug and I had a great time and we enjoyed all the wonderful gifts and catching up with everyone.

Baby Basics 101

This past weekend was our Baby First Aid class and while the majority of it was elementary at best there were a few items of intel that may one day (hopefully not) be wise to know. The only thing that I can say is this, God forbid it that Bug would ever need the baby CPR and God help him if it's just Mommy with him and not Daddy. I could save him but he'd end up with a few broken ribs, my chest compressions were rather intense! Either way we enjoyed the class and feel a lot better knowing the CPR and the infant/toddler version of the Heimlich maneuver.

Drew hung the pictures up in the nursery yesterday and the finished product looks great! The walls have been painted, the furniture has been assembled and all of his clothes and accessories have been laundered and put away. So bring it on, baby because (for the most part) Mommy and Daddy are ready.... did I mention for the most part.

Nursery Part Two

This weekend Drew is planning on (okay, okay I am planning on Drew) hanging the pictures in the baby's room and then... that's it! We will officially be done. Well almost, the key ingredient to this nursery business is still missing but he's on his way, I promise. Then this blog is gonna be all sorts of crazy kinda fun!

Shower Goodness

This past weekend Andrew and I packed, shipped the dog off and headed to St Louis for some baby goodness. While Drew golfed and enjoyed the company of his buddy Fred I was in my delight talking baby, playing with babies and opening up baby gifts. It was a great day and I wanted to take the time to thank everyone once again for making me feel so very special this past Saturday. Both showers were wonderful and I cannot tell you how much fun I had.

A Face Only A Mother Could Love

Shortly after we found out that we were expecting Drew bought a great digital camera and I absolutely love it. It took me quite a bit longer to get the editing program downloaded than I care to admit but I figured May 2nd was a good deadline... so I'm ahead of the curve in my book.

Granted as soon as Alex gets here all you'll ever see are pics of him but until then I am still just a Doggie Mommy.
