Week In Review
This past week GrandNan and Pop Pop came to visit and Alex was in his heyday! He'd had enough of just plain ole Mom and Dad and with Grandparents in town the holding and cuddling literally doubled. Life is good when you are 2 weeks old!
Shortly after Bug was born my Dr. made the comment "Look at the jowls on that kid." while I might disagree with the term "jowls" he definitely has a set of cheeks on him!

Alexander Brooks Weckman the 1st
Alex graced us with his presence on Saturday, April 11th at 11:27 p.m. He weighed in at 6lbs 14oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He has a full head of black hair (much like his older cousin Lucy) and chubby little cheeks (like his other cousin, Sophia). He is a very content and happy baby, let's hope he stays that way.
Here are a few pics from this weekend that the proud Pappa himself took just a few minutes after his arrival. I will post more as soon as I can find the time, is there such a thing as time after the baby gets here?

Diapers, Butt Paste and Baby Wipes Oh My!!!
On Saturday my good friends Kristen and Stacey threw me a baby shower for all the Memphis local yokels and like all of the others it was a great time. Alex and I received lots of goodies and some definite necessities, that as a new Mom I never would have thought about, alcohol swabs and Vaseline for the more "delicate" areas of Alex's body. Thanks again, Auntie K!!!
We both had a great time and thanks again everyone for making it such a special day!
P.S. If anyone is concerned about what to get me for Christmas I have a great idea. They are called "Chocolate Fountains" and I am thinking that after Saturday if I don't have one of these blessed pieces of equipment in my life soon it may not be worth living....
